Of course if you save your mp3’s in wav or any loosless format, you can use Wavosaur / Audacity / Ocenaudio / etc. You don’t need any of these audio editors ! you want : mp3DirectCut More info on multichannel wav files : ħ) if you want to edit mp3 files without re-encoding : You need FFT / stats but also a good VST support for using more analysis toolsĦ) you want to work with multichannel wav files :Īudacity can import multichannel wav files but can’t export as multichannel, it mixes all channels into a stereo file. VST support is important, so you can use effects as compression / equalization / reverb / echo / distorsion / phaser / flanger / etc.Ĥ) You just need basic editing : cut / copy / paste / fade out for your songs / samples :ĥ) you want to do analysis (statiistics, spectrum, sonogram) : Loop points support is important, fast workflow and some basic effects (like pitch shift).Ģ) You want to record very long piece of audio : a DJ mix, a radio broadcast, and just do basic editing (cut at start / end, fade in / out or split in 2 or more) :ģ) You want to do sound design, mastering or pre mastering, FX creation: What free audio editor do i need ?ġ) You are working with samplers (software or hardware), you make sound banks, you work on one-shot samples, you record small samples: it has less features than the others (but the development is still active !).can zoom with mouse wheel ! (CTRL + mousewheel).you can work with multiple files (application is MDI) at once. It’s open source, so the development should continue. It already has all the basics you need for audio editing. I have the newest version 1.0.3.0 And i cannot find any loop waveform option in the batch processor, only start and kill loop points but that doesnt loop my wavs. One of the latest audio editor, first alpha was releaded in 2013. Yes it does! I wasn't aware that I was running an older version. If i remember correctly, the last release v1.0.2.0 has a "kill loop point" options in the batch processor.ĭon't hesitate to try and tell us if it works well ! What is the status on this? I've got tons one one shots that are looped and batch removel of loop points would be great. Again, I enjoy your program and will look forward to the next release.ĭon't worry: this feature (in the batch processor) will only kill the loop points (named loop chunk). (Maybe I misunderstood you.I'm not too savvy with the terminology.) Like I said, it would be the opposite of batch adding loop points. When you say "Chunk remover" are you saying removing a chunk of the wav file? I just want the loop points (if any) removed, not any part of the wav itself. You'll have to wait for the next release (it could came very quick). I think a "batch loop remover" could be easily implemented, or more generally a "chunk remover". Hello atomtitan and welcome to the forum! PS The program is great.the second best wav editor I've seen, after Sound Forge. Is there any way to do this from batch mode? (a workaround?) I don't want to manually remove the loop points from all the files. (I thought the batch mode would have an undo for "Add Loop Points", which is why I downloaded it, but nope.) I have 2,000 wav samples that I have to remove looping points from (the 'kill loop' on your toolbar), but there is no batch option for removing loop points. This is exactly what I wanted, except the opposite. Last edited by THK on Sat 11:42 am edited 1 time in total Or is there a way to already do this with a command line like Doing it manually would take A LOT of time. I have a huge collection of unlooped one-shot waves and i would like toĬonvert them into looped ones to use them in certain synths. Something like 'select all' plus 'create loop points'. Would it be possible to add ' loop the whole waveform' to the batch Posted: Thu 9:11 am Post subject: Batch Looping Profile Log in to check your private messages Log in
